FREE SUMMER GRAD PREP (SIGN UP NOW)

To expand our services to more students, the traditional 6-week summer grad prep is now a series of hybrid workshops throughout the summer. Resources and 1:1 meetings with graduate mentors are included.

Workshops will cover:

  • Applying to Graduate and Professional School
  • Developing your Resume and CV
  • Securing Strong Letters of Recommendation
  • Financing Your Future – How to Find and Obtain Graduate Funding
  • Graduate Student Panel

Interactive Working Sessions (aka Workshops)

Join Graduate Mentoring for our 6-week Summer Grad Prep Interactive Working Session Series. You can also make an appointment to sign up for a 1-1 appointment with one of our graduate mentors by using the Graduate Mentoring Appointment Request Form.

Please note we are offering two series of these workshops so if you are unable to attend a workshop in our first series or accidentally miss it, you can still make a reservation for the second series of workshops.

Securing Strong Letters of Recommendation How to network with faculty and other professionals to secure references and letters of recommendation; working on sustaining these relationships throughout your academic and professional careers Tues 7/19, 4-5pm (Series 1) OR Thurs 9/1, 12-1pm (Session C)
Financing Your Future How to find and obtain funding for graduate school; different funding resources for first-gen students – internal/external scholarships & fellowships, listservs for work study and tuition remission opportunities (TA and GSR); briefly go over financial literacy and budgeting strategies Tues 7/26, 12-1pm (Series 1) OR Thurs 9/8, 2-3pm (Session C)
